There are different options for the device, either Jet or spot applicators.

The PlasmaLift Pro device operates at a distance of about 1mm above the skin surface. It creates a minute electrical arc at its tip, called the plasma arc.

For PlasmaLift Spot treatment, when the arc touches the skin, it vaporises a micromillimeter-sized carbon dots on the skin’s surface & this is called sublimation.

This dot minimally tightens the skin in its vicinity. Several points applied together create a “reduction grid”. By creating these reduction grids in specific patterns, excess skin can be tightened safely & effectively

For the PlasmaLift Jet treatment, when the arc touches the skin there are no visible dots, the plasma arc is dispersed on a larger area of the skin surface across the path that the jet head travels. The skin tightening is quite subtle with the Jet, this treatment kills germs and bacteria. It makes the skin brighter and healthier. On some clients there may be some minimal erythema (redness) immediately after the treatment, however almost all clients can return to normal work or other daily activities without any sign of having a treatment.

What is Sublimation?

Sublimation is when electrical plasma energy is used to turn matter from a solid state to a gas. This process works on the skin by dissolving the top layer of the skin without full penetration.

The superficial controlled damage to the surface of the skin stimulates the body’s natural healing mechanism. Resulting in the formation of new skin that either removes or repairs the treatment area.
 

Immediate visible results

Following PlasmaLift Pro Spot treatments, there usually is always some visible evidence. For example, a small age spot will typically disappear with one treatment, whereas eye treatments, would expect between 2- 3 sessions to complete the process.

Lines, wrinkles, and stretch marks, will typically require 4+ treatments 4 – 6 weeks apart. Of course every clients skin reacts differently, some people are completely satisfied with their results after one or two treatments and then only require an annual maintenance top up.

The ‘Jet’ treatments can be closer together, or as a one off and on an as needs basis. Jet treatments are great for acne prone skin due to the bacteria and germ killing capability.

Do You need Numbing Cream for the treatment?

Numbing cream is required for the PlasmaLift Pro Spot treatment, as the plasma arcs do put carbon dots into the surface of the epidermis.

Skin-numbing creams work by blocking nerve signals in the body. They are numbing medications and function like a local anaesthetic.

Creams such as Numb-it can be purchased over the counter from your local chemist.

These can be applied 20 minutes before your treatment, or you are able to bring the cream with you to your appointment and use the clinic facilities to apply and wait until your treatment time is due. (Don’t forget to cover the area with Cling wrap to prevent evaporation, and ensure you put breathing holes in your cling wrap 😊) Note – Numbing cream is NOT available at the clinic.
